From 9 to 31 October 2026, we will be serving unfiltered Pilsner Urquell on tap at the Hotel Šipka restaurant in Štramberk. If you enjoy a good Czech lager, this is an opportunity you won’t want to miss.
Unfiltered lager contains a small amount of brewer’s yeast, giving it a naturally cloudy appearance and a slightly fuller flavour. It’s a chance to enjoy the famous Czech beer in a slightly different way.
This October tradition also celebrates an important milestone in brewing history. On 5 October 1842, the very first batch of Pilsner Urquell was brewed in Plzeň, marking the beginning of what would become one of the world’s most famous lagers.
